Raymond James offers distinct exploratory programs for sophomores to take your classroom learning and build a dynamic career within the financial services industry. Whether you’re curious about deals and acquisitions in financial services, interested in how the latest technology is helping clients manage their wealth, or eager to impact company performance through operations and infrastructure support, we have a program to help you plan out your future.
We are committed to expanding the range of thought and representation in our profession and offer multiple programs to support all students interested in learning and growing with Raymond James.
Participation in any of our exploration programs will give you a jumpstart to your career search through industry exposure, engaging directly with experienced professionals, and sessions designed to build your career skills. Most importantly, successful participants receive coaching and early access to our highly competitive, award-winning summer internship program.

Our programs
Investment Banking Insights Bootcamp
October 21-23, 2025 – Virtual Sessions
January 21–22, 2026 – Corporate Office Visit
January 28–29, 2026 – Corporate Office Visit
Investment Banking (IB) Insights Bootcamp begins with three virtual sessions to educate sophomore students on how our bankers work with corporations to raise capital, issue shares of stock in an IPO, provide financial consulting services and negotiate on a merger or acquisition.
Throughout the virtual bootcamp, students will dive deep into the day-to-day responsibilities of an investment banking analyst, offering firsthand exposure to the role. As an additional offering, the IB recruiting manager will provide guidance into the industry groups, application process and timeline.
Applicants in the IB Insights Bootcamp will receive early access to apply for our highly competitive Summer Analyst 2027 Program. Those selected for Super Day will be invited to a fully funded, two-day experience hosted in one of our major office locations.
- Core Business Unit: Investment Banking
- Application Deadline: October 9, 2025, at 11:59 pm ET
- Application Process: Reviewed on a rolling basis, and students selected will be asked to complete a pre-recorded video response.
- Application GPA: 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Program Decision: Students will be notified (either way) by the middle of October 2025.
Career Fast Track
March 12–14, 2026 – St. Petersburg, FL
May 14–16, 2026 – St. Petersburg, FL
We believe good people know the importance of different perspectives and personal experience and how it helps you create professional value. This program gives students access to resources to leverage their individual backgrounds and experiences in the workplace. Spending three days at our global headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida will increase your knowledge, experience, and confidence so you can put yourself on the path to a great career.
You will have the opportunity to select the program in March or May.
- Core Business Units: Financial Planning Functions, Accounting, Risk Functions, Business Analyst, Software Developer, & Information Security.
- Application Deadline: November 2, 2025, at 11:59 pm ET
- Application Process: All applicants will be asked to complete a brief essay question and complete a pre-recorded video, which are reviewed once the application closes on November 2. Students selected to advance in the process will be invited to a virtual conversation with an Early Careers recruiter to be considered as a Career Fast Track participant.
- Application GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Program Decision: Students will be notified by the end of December 2025.
Sophomore Showcase:
December 17, 2025 – St. Petersburg, FL
December 19, 2025 – St. Petersburg, FL
December 19, 2025 – Atlanta, GA
This half-day program gives top students the flexibility to drop in and get a view of what it means to be an associate at Raymond James. The Sophomore Showcase events are hosted during winter break so you can come experience life at Raymond James and learn about our Corporate Infrastructure and Information Technology core business units. You’ll also gain valuable insight into our recruiting timelines so you can get a leg up it the process.

Who is eligible?
We are looking for ambitious and focused sophomore students interested in growing and working with great teams to help our clients and customers achieve personal and financial success.
Eligibility criteria for ideal candidates:
- Enrollment in an accredited U.S. university and graduating between December 2027 and June 2028
- Major in accounting, computer science, data science, economics, engineering, finance, information systems, marketing, management, math, sales, statistics, or a business-related field
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (IB Insights Bootcamp) and 3.0 (Career Fast Track and Sophomore Showcase) on a 4.0 scale
- Be passionate about a career in financial services and working with teams and customers
